We have updated our participants list and are now having display the latest list of riders names. Please find your name from the link. If you should have any enquiries, please do so by the 5th October 2012, To search for your name, please follow this step Step 1. Click on the participant list link. A website with participants list will be displayed Step 2. Press CTRL + F key. Step 3. Search the name of participants. Please use the name you have given to us. Not your other names or whatsoever. For those die hard owls, we are pleased to confirm that we will be having our BURUNG HANTU Jamboree this year.
Please keep your calendar booked for our 4th installment of Malaysia's much awaited night MTB jamboree.
Get ready, be prepared. Have your gears ready. Get your batteries charged, better still, get a super bright torchlight and marked your calendar for Saturday, 20th October 2012 as we will be having it on the very night itself.

We will make your ride as eventful and memorable as our previous night rides.
Also book your hotels, homestay or accomodations for the night as we will be having it at the location set below.

Melaka World Heritage Ride 2012 Postponed

Melaka World Heritage Ride, this event is organise by Environment Cycling Club on the 7-8 July 2012 in conjunction of announcement Melaka as World Heritage. We are partnering with Mahkota Medical Centre to organised Melaka World Heritage Ride.
This special event is specially organise for Roadie, mean road bike only. All cyclist with road bike are welcome but make sure you have a good stamina as 1st day will be 175km, 2nd day will be 140km. make sure you have at least 200km mileage a week and fit to join this superb event. We will use the previous LTDL route.
This is a self support event, you can have your own support car, limited to 1 support car per team. We will have a sweeper for those who can't complete. This is not a RACE, so those who intend to race are not welcome. that's why we call it fellowship ride. And we only can accommodate 300 riders.
Please follow road safety feature such as road sign, traffic light etc unless there is a traffic/marshal give you GREEN to go. For more details...

RIDE DETAILS:
1. This is a self support ride organise by Environment Cycling Club Melaka (ECC) in conjunction of celebrating Melaka World Heritage.
2. This event will be held on 7th & 8th JULY 2012 (Sat & Sun). This is a Fellowship Ride for Road Cyclist only and is NOT A RACE.
3. This event is organised only for road bike, cyclist must be fit enough to join this event as the distance will be 300km in total for 2 days
4. Along the ride you will have pace car, marshal, road sign, tulips to ensure you won't go missing.   5. The trail consist of challenging rolling hill and nice scenery trunk road 
6. If you are in a group, you can have your own support car. We only allowed 1 support car per group.
7. We will provide 1 feeding zone for you to refill OR you can stop at any petrol station as you wish. 8. To ensure the safety of all cyclist, please follow the road sign as we are SHARING the road NOT conquering the road.
9. We will ensure the smooth ride for the whole journey 
10. Event will START at a empty space opposite Mahkota Medical Center beside Mahkota Hotel on the 7th JULY 2012, Time 08:00
11. Briefing will be on the 6th JULY 2012 after collection of goodies
12. The closing date of the event is on the 15 JUNE 2012 or reach 300 cyclists

ECC Family Day

31st March 2012 was the Earth Hour day for the world. ECC took the opportunity to host a family event. Members of ECC has great fun bringing their own family members and shared their club activities with their loved ones on the night itself.
members had games and activities throughout the night.

A big thanks the event committee for the effort to gather everyone back.

Share The Road Campaign.

Melaka: Friday, 30th March, 2012 9:00pm:
The state of Melaka and the Cycling Federation of Melaka organised a SHARE the ROAD event last Friday. A total of 450 cycling enthusiast around Melaka gathered and took part as one community to raise awareness to all on the importance to share the road. The campaign start off at A'Famosa Fort and ends there as well. A total 15KM was covered surrounding majors roads in Melaka town.
ECC'ians was not left out and took part in the event. More pictures to come. . .

The ride is over, but the exhilaration from completing it still lingers.

This is the second time I participated in ECC's Burung Hantu event. And I have to say that the event has improved very much. We members and organizing team of Environmental Cycling Club team would like to say a BIG Thank You to all "BURUNG HANTU" participants whom come from near and far just to take part in our third and final installation of MTB Nite Jamboree in UTeM Stadium, Ayer Keroh, Melaka on the 1st and 2nd October 2011.

HOW TO GET THERE UPDATED

FROM AYER KEROH TOL PLAZA
1 Exit AYER KEROH tol plaza
2 Get on Jln Tun Abdul Razak - Ayer Keroh
3 Exit left onto first ramp
4 Get on Ramp
5 On the first traffic light head straight.
6 Reach on UTeM guardpost. Continue journey
7 Enter Roundabout, take the 1st left
8 Get on and drive until you've reach the second roundabout
9 Upon reaching the second roundabout, take the 1st left
10 Get on 300 m from the roundabout and you'll see a T junction
11 Turn left.
12 There'll be a T junction 60 metres, turn right
13 Stadium will be on your right

FROM McDonald AYER KEROH (Opposite Dataran Sejarah Ayer Keroh)
1 Get on Jln Tun Abdul Razak - Ayer Keroh and drive northeast
2 2.2KM from McDonald, exit left onto second ramp onto Sungai Udang-Ayer Keroh Highway
3 On the first traffic light head straight.
4 Reach on UTeM guardpost. Continue journey
5 Enter Roundabout, take the 1st left
6 Get on and drive until you've reach the second roundabout
7 Upon reaching the second roundabout, take the 1st left
8 Get on 300 m from the roundabout and you'll see a T junction
9 Turn left.
10 There'll be a T junction 60 metres, turn right
11 Stadium will be on your right
